Testimony Speech

Description

Students must follow the four steps below (see procedures) in sharing their Christian testimonies. This five-minute presentation is designed to allow students to become accustomed to speaking to an audience while allowing class members to learn more about each other. It also demonstrates the integration of faith and learning.

Objectives

This assignment aims for students to do the following:

bulletto familiarize students with speaking to an audience,
bulletto depend only minimally, if at all, on notes,
bulletto enhance eye contact,
bulletto express thoughts clearly and concisely,
bulletto integrate faith and learning, and
bulletto recognize the inherent value of all human beings by demonstrating the importance of effectively and respectfully communicating with all members of society, including women, people with varied cultural backgrounds, people with special needs, and others.

Procedure

Students should follow these guidelines when doing this five-minute speech:

1. Describe your life and attitudes before you became a Christian.*

2. Explain how you realized God was speaking to you?*

3. How did you become a Christian?*

bullet

4. What does being a Christian me to you?*
